SCC CARES is fortunate to have members and friends who bring remarkable capacity and willingness to the table — whether through a financial contribution that preserves the barge, a few hours of volunteer time, a seat on the board or a committee, or simply by spreading some positive words about what we’re building. There is no gift too small, no engagement too modest. Every act of support moves our mission forward — and keeps the spirit of Club alive for another generation.

Become a Charter Member*

Charter Members are the founding supporters of SCC CARES — the members who stepped forward first and made our mission possible. By joining the 1948 Club, you become part of the Foundation’s origin story, your name permanently recognized among those who believed in the mission before it had a track record to point to.

Charter Membership is available for a founding contribution of $1,948.00 — a tribute to the year 1948 (or more, at any level you choose.

Annual Giving

Every tax-deductible gift to SCC CARES — at any level — directly supports our mission to preserve the barge, enrich our members, and serve the community of Sausalito. As we start up in 2026, donations are made through our fiscal sponsor, the Sausalito Historical Society, while our 501(c)(3) determination is pending. Checks should be made payable to the “SHS -SCC CARES Fund”.
